HTprotect®
Right from the start of developing products for the CCTV market, HeiTel has attached great importance to data protection and safety against manipulation of customer-specific data.
Against this background, HeiTel only uses dedicated hardware components and proprietary software solutions combined with embedded Linux for the development of its image recording and image transmission systems. The total responsibility for the system design provides the best conditions for an extremely stable platform and the basis for additional measures to increase safety against manipulation.
Recording and transmission of video images is always done using HeiTel’s own, encrypted image format based on HTcompress. Furthermore, the image data encrypted in this way is stored by HTrecord in a special file format developed by HeiTel itself. Tailor-made transmission protocols, individual user profiles and additional password levels when dialling into the HeiTel security system, as well as additional password prompts when evaluating hard disk archives, round off the efficiency of HTprotect. To prevent manipulation of exported images, HTprotect provides secure export in the HeiTel format as well as a separate authenticity check for exported images in standard format.
